Delta-Ray Industries has ongoing interest in hiring the following positions:

Level II Machinist

  • A level II machinist needs to understand how to edit programs and can work with the process engineer and department heads to make jobs run more efficiently. Must be able to perform all level I machinist requirements in a proficient manner. Required a minimum of 5 years experience.

Level I Machinist

  • A level I machinist understands the basic functions and controls of a CNC machine.
  • Needs to have the ability to do basic tool setup including tool changing and have the ability to do tool offset and wear changes when necessary under the supervision of a level II machinist. Basic blueprint reading requirements. Must have some knowledge on how to operate manual machines needed. Required a minimum of 3 years experience.

Process Engineer

  • Primary function is to assist in developing and monitoring all processes:
  • Job development and process creation including tooling needed and tooling design
  • Prepare all programs using Solidworks, SolidCAM or Surf CAM software as well as program using machine controls
  • Interpreting all machine code languages
  • Problem solving for all production issues
  • Machine tool utilization and production output monitoring
  • Create all necessary production documentation needed to perform all job tasks
  • Required a minimum of 7 years experience.
Inspector
  • Primary function is to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies. Parts will be inspected to engineering drawings, customer purchase order(s), industry standards, and specifications. 
  • Extensive broad-ranging aircraft (primary Sikorsky) commodity knowledge and experience encompassing structures, mechanical assemblies, precision machined parts, fasteners, castings and forgings, raw materials and special processes.
  • Maintain accurate written product and vendor/operation history records.
  • Report all suspect quality product problems to the Quality Control Manager and follow through with directed resolution.
  • Experience with Zeiss Contura 2 CMM
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the aerospace industry.
